Moms' Time Notes – September 21, 2012

Check List for Friday, Sept. 28-

o   2 4X6 family pictures (or email a copy Susan R.)
o   Choosing Gratitude (with Chapter 1 read)
o   Prayer Request Sheet Completed
o   Psalm 145:1-3 memorized or meditated on
o   Course of Study form updated, typed and ready to turn in to Kristen H. if you have been in PSP 2 years or fewer (remember there will be late fees if you do not bring the typed out and updated forms)
o   Lunch, so that you may stay for 12:30-2:30 IEW writing workshop with Megan B.
o   IEW writing curriculum book, if your child is in one of the writing classes

Announcements

·         Dads’ and kids’ park day sign-up sheet will be in the moms’ room for another two weeks. The park day will be on October 13.

·         In your mailboxes, there were prayer request sheets.

o   You have this week to think about what your prayer request will be. Please fill them out for next week, September 28.

o   You will be exchanging them with someone at your table next week. That person will be your prayer partner for the next month.

·         Brenda will put out a sign-up sheet in the moms’ room for the women’s fall event, which is October 13.

o   This is for anyone who would like to attend with a group from PSP.

o   The group will meet somewhere on campus and go together.

o   If you sign up on the sign-up sheet, you will still need to register for the event on-line or at church on a Sunday morning.

·         Next week on September 28, Susan R. will be at PSP.

o    She is putting together a Legacy Book of homeschooling families at the church.

o   Please bring two copies of a family photo to PSP next week, or you can e-mail a family photo to Susan.

o   Around 10 AM next Friday, we will be filling out forms for the book.

·         Next week on September 28, Megan Brown will be holding a writing workshop at lunchtime. She will show a DVD on the writing program, Institute for Excellence in Writing. If you have a student in the writing class, please plan on attending. This will help you understand how to help your student better.

·         Please make sure you carefully read all PSP related e-mails.

o   If you have a question, please make sure you go through all the old PSP e-mails to be sure that question has not been answered already.

o   Make sure you have a folder to put all your important PSP information and documents.

o   Encourage your student to carefully keep track of all of his work and homework assignments.  If you have a question about PSP homework, do not wait until the last minute, or you may not get an answer. Start your PSP homework early in the week.

·         Next week (September 28,) at table time, we will start our discussion of Choosing Gratitude, chapter one. Please read chapter one this week. Also, work on memorizing Psalm 145:3.

·         If you need to meet up with your child during PSP, you need to find him or her. Do not have your child be responsible for finding you. Please communicate with your child’s coordinator and put the responsibility on yourself.

·         Susan O. sent out an e-mail survey regarding the Sacramento field trip.  Please complete the survey this week.

·         Make sure you are cleaning up your food plates each week and taking home the hospitality dishes that you brought.

·         Lost and found is at the end of the table in the moms’ room.
